Meet Eden & The Wagehofts

Eden Rose is our precious firstborn daughter. She was diagnosed with Trisomy 13 and a heart defect at 23 weeks gestation. The rest of the pregnancy was spent learning as much as possible about her condition and cherishing every moment we had with her on this side of Heaven. She was born on October 15th, 2020 and lived 44 precious days on Earth. She spent 6 weeks of her life in the NICU and 2 peaceful days home with us on hospice. She enjoyed snuggling with her parents, being read to, listening to her favorite hedgehog toy that played music, and staring at her crib mobile. She got to meet her extended family at home and loved all her NICU nurses who became like family. She fought hard to stay with us as long as she could until the Lord brought her home. She looked at her family with so much love in her eyes, more than we ever expected from a newborn. 

Eden has since become a big sister to Jude (3) and Lydia (1), and is talked about daily in our home. Being her parents has been one of the greatest honors of our lives and we love talking about her.
